Patrick Keefe is an experienced investor and venture capital professional. He is a Managing Partner at Build Ventures, a VC firm focused on emerging technology companies based in Atlantic Canada. Build Ventures currently has $65 million under management and to date has invested in five East Coast startups. Patrick takes a hands-on approach to supporting Build Ventures’ portfolio companies, providing ongoing strategic advice.
Patrick has over 15 years of investment and entrepreneurial experience. Previously he served as vice president of investment at Innovacorp. In this role he oversaw the organization’s seed and early-stage venture capital activities while assisting portfolio companies in accelerating growth, achieving milestones and securing additional financing. Patrick also worked with the venture capital firm Atlas Venture in its Boston office, as well as with the Boston Consulting Group, which provides strategic advisory services for leading companies around the world.
Patrick is also a successful entrepreneur. In 2004, he secured an exclusive license to operate Starbucks Coffee locations in Atlantic Canada through his company CVAI. Starbucks Corporation acquired CVAI in 2008.
Patrick holds an M.Phil from Oxford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
