Matt Zimola is the CEO and Co-Founder of ReelData AI, a Halifax-based company using artificial intelligence to improve productivity and sustainability in land-based aquaculture. ReelData builds camera-based AI systems that help producers better understand fish growth, feeding, biomass, and farm performance in real time.
Matt has experience building and deploying AI solutions across North America, Europe, and South America. A Dalhousie University computer science graduate, he co-founded ReelData while completing his studies and has since helped grow the company into a venture-backed leader in aquaculture technology. His experience provides founders practical insight into AI commercialization, product development, scaling technical teams, and building technology that can create measurable impact in traditional industries.
