Mark de Jonge

Olympian & Director, Katchi

Mark de Jonge is an Olympic medallist, professional engineer, and technology entrepreneur whose career has spanned elite sport, product design, and ocean innovation. As a sprint kayaker, he represented Canada at the Olympic Games, winning a bronze medal at London 2012. He is also a two-time world champion and former world record holder in the K-1 200m event.

Mark has applied the same discipline that defined his athletic career to engineering and venture building. Most recently, he served as Chief Technology Officer and now Director at Katchi, a Nova Scotia ocean technology company developing precision fishing systems designed to reduce contact with the ocean floor.
