Hosted by the Faculty of Open Learning and Career Development

Do you want to discover how industry giants like Google, Netflix, and Airbnb consistently innovate and solve complex challenges? Are you eager to learn a powerful process that can transform your ideas into impactful solutions? If so, join us for a dynamic and engaging two-hour workshop, “Unleashing Innovation: Applying Design Thinking to Supercharge Your Ideas.”

In the first hour, we’ll delve into the importance of innovation and creative problem-solving in addressing wicked problems in a VUCA world (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous). Participants will learn to cultivate an innovator’s mindset and apply Design Thinking principles to their challenges, gaining an overview of each Design Thinking element. The second hour features an interactive innovation sprint, where participants will engage in a paired activity that will guide them through the five elements of Design Thinking using a unique SPRINT process, used by innovative companies like Google, Netflix and Airbnb.

Time: 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

About the speaker
