DESCRIPTION:Join MindFrame Connect and Dal Innovates at the Emera ideaHUB for a full day of networking\, facilitated workshops and panel discussions\, sharing insights on the Canadian entrepreneurial ecosystem. \n\nPrinciples of Mentorship: Compiled by extensive research and discovery of leaders across Canada\, this session details the 15 Principles of Mentorship and how they can be implemented in everyday practice. This session is facilitated by Brice Scheschuk\, Managing Partner at Globalive Capital and MindFrame Connect Co-founder.\nMentorship Best Practices: MindFrame Connect’s research team\, led by Dr. Lori Dithurbide\, will present their findings on best practices in mentorship (for both mentors and mentees) based on a major scoping review of mentorship literature across disciplines. If you’d like to learn more about evidence-based approaches to improving your mentorship\, this session will focus on using research to elevate your mentor/mentee game to the next level.\nEntrepreneurial Resiliency: The session will touch on the importance of resilience as an entrepreneur and how it can be fostered on an individual as well as organizational level. This session is facilitated by Brice Scheschuk\, Managing Partner at Globalive Capital and MindFrame Connect Co-founder.\nExploring the Gender Gap in Entrepreneurship Panel: According to Innovation\, Science and Economic Development Canada only 17% of Canadian small and medium-sized businesses are owned by women\, and we all have the part to play to reduce the gender gap that exists in entrepreneurship. Learn from some of Canada’s top female entrepreneurs about how they navigated entrepreneurship\, broke down barriers and explore the opportunities that exist for female\, non-binary and transgender entrepreneurs in Canada’s growing ecosystem. Panelists include Louise Adongo\, Executive Director of Inspiring Communities & Principal/Owner of Caprivian Strip Inc\, Kimberley Brooks\, Dean of the Faculty of Management at Dalhousie University\, Wendy Cukier\, Founder & Academic Director of the Diversity Institute\, Academic Director of the Women Entrepreneurship Hub\, and Research Lead of the Future Skills Centre\, Amy Grant\, Project Manager at Origin Leadership Consulting Inc. & Lead Storyteller at Pink Lnu and Dawn Umlah\, Consultant.
